Fall is here

Quite behind once again...so I thought I'd just post some pics of what we've been up to lately!! We were able to check out ArtPrize downtown a couple times, very cool to see! Other than that we haven't been super busy around here. Sophie is moving around like crazy!! Not quite crawling yet, but she has her own style of crawling that works just fine for her. Her personality is definitely coming out more and more everyday, so much fun...usually :) Last night we went to watch the Tiger's play at our friends house and she was just giggling like crazy watching their dog, it was so cute!! (too bad about the Tigers though...) Anyway hope to blog again sooner than last time! We're hoping to go pick apples with Sophie soon so we can make applesauce soon! But the weather's not exactly cooperating with us...pictures to come if that happens!

probably the most beautiful scene I have ever woke up to

ooh I love this one!! she loves her play thing!

I can't believe Sophie's already over 5 months!! These past month have gone so fast, she's becoming more and more mobile everyday. It's so fun to put her down on the ground and by the time you turn around she's in a completely different position!! hehe
Well we don't have much to post, as you can see above Sophie got to meet cousin Peter this month as him, Ryan and Jackie were in town for a couple weeks to visit. It was great to have them around for awhile, we had a lot of family time :) We're excited to see them over Thanksgiving when the new baby is here! Anyways, just wanted to post a few new pics so you can all see how big Sophie is getting!!

Adventures and Vacations...

Hello all, it's been far to long since I've posted (as usual). A lot has happened since the last post...the most exciting being how big our beautiful little Sophie is getting!! We had her 4 month check up a couple weeks ago and she's up to a whopping 13lbs. 9oz!! At two months she was just 8lbs. 13oz! So she's definitely catching up to all those around her :) That brings her from the 7th percentile to the 50th!! Crazy huh!?!?

So as of late, Eric and I went on a cruise with some of my old college roomies and their husbands...went to our good friend Nate's wedding...went camping up north at Young State Park with the family...and now we're enjoying some time at home finally!! This weekend we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Eric's brother, his wife and our little nephew Peter who are here to visit for a couple weeks!! So our next few weeks will be filled with a lot of family time, we are excited for Peter and Sophie to meet!:)

Above are a few pics of our time cruising, camping and of course our little sweetie!! Enjoy :)

haha love how she looks in her bumbo!!

Hello All!! I don't have much time to write after uploading these pics seeing as how it's 12:40am right now but I just wanted to post some recent pics of my little sweetie :) We had our first camping outing as a family this past weekend in Ludington with some friends that we've camped with over the past few years now. Sophie really did great!! I was kind of surprised, you never know how they'll sleep in a different place and react to being outside so much...but she was a trooper!! We had some pretty crappy weather, cold and rainy but we made the best of it, and I'm sooo grateful my parents let us use their pop-up camper for the week!
Anyways, we've been having such a great time watching Sophie grow over these past few months. I can't believe she was 3 months old a couple days ago! Time flies by so fast!!:) She is sooo much fun to be with all day, she is much more content now and just enjoys talking and laughing and looking at everything around her! I love spending my days with her...I have to admit I wish she would nap more though!! She is pretty much refusing to nap much at all during the day...but I have to be grateful b/c she has been sleeping through the night for at least a month now...but really I'd love to have more than 30 minutes to myself during the day!! hehe so I should probably go to bed now and gear up for our busy day of shopping tomorrow :)

"enjoying" her 1st Easter Egg Hunt

So we've finally been able to start the cloth diaper journey!! Sophie's been so little that we were not able to use them right away but she seems to be growing pretty good and we decided to give it a go. It's been almost a week and there have definitely been a few blow outs and leakages but we're managing :) They really are much easier than I thought they would be!! They look and work just like disposables but I've just done a couple extra loads of laundry this week.
Other than that, not too much has been going on around here. Sophie was able to spend a little time with Grandma Timmer this week, and mom was able to have a little free time! :) Free time= a trip to the doctor and a dinner at church, but still it's always nice to have a few cry free hours and I know she's always in good hands! I'm enjoying the great weather we've had the past couple days...it's really making me look forward to more spring weather, and hopefully more stroller rides and outings in general...we're (I'm) getting a little sick of being home most days! :)
Here's a few more new pics of our sweet angel. We started getting some real smiles the past couple weeks, it's so cute when she reacts to us with smiles!! Also...she's slept from about 10:30-6am the past couple nights!! LOVING THAT! :)
